Have you considered dental veneers to improve the look of your teeth? Not only does this procedure have over a 91% success rate, but it also greatly enhances your natural smile.
Dental veneers can be used to fix many small or large features of your smile:
Dental veneers are wafer-thin shells of material placed on teeth to improve their appearance. These shells bond to the front of the tooth and can change the length, size, shape, and color of teeth. You can choose from porcelain or composite veneers. Porcelain is a little more expensive but they’re better at fighting stains and look the most like natural teeth.Unfortunately, veneers are not permanent. They last between 7 and 15 years after which they’ll need replacing. Luckily, dental veneers don’t need any special care in the meantime. Just follow a healthy oral hygiene routine, which includes flossing, brushing, and rinsing.

At your first appointment, you’ll get x-rays to help determine which treatment plan is best for you. Next, your dentist needs to ready the teeth for the implants by trimming about half a millimeter of your tooth enamel.
After, a mold of your teeth will be taken and sent off to a lab that will form the veneers. This could take 1-2 weeks.
Once the veneers are ready, your dentist will check them to make sure the color and fit work best for your smile. Then the dentist will roughen the teeth so the veneers can better adhere to them. Ultraviolet light and cement will then be used to attach the veneers to the teeth.
After a few weeks, you’ll check in with the dentist at a follow-up appointment.
Creating a beautiful smile with dental veneers or crowns improves both your oral health and appearance. There is a slight difference between the two procedures, but both have high success rates. You should choose the one that works best for you since both can be expensive.
A dental veneer is a thin layer of porcelain or composite material, about 1 millimeter thick, that bonds to the front of the existing tooth. A crown is 2 millimeters thick and covers the entire tooth. In dentistry, crowns can be made of porcelain, a porcelain metal alloy mixture, or all metal.
Dental veneers are required if the tooth is intact and only require cosmetic restoration. Crowns on the other hand are needed when the tooth is decayed and needs to be completely covered. The existing tooth would need filing or grounding down to prepare for the crown compared to the veneer which can be placed after some minor filing.
